working Mommies and nice weather....

While this nice weather should perk us all up, I'm down in the dumps today b/c I'm sitting at work and not able to enjoy this beautiful weather with DS. I loved this weekend, I went on a ton of walks with DS, we hung out outside watching Daddy wash the car etc..etc..

I fear my days at work are going to get harder come spring/summer and not easier & I've been ok with going back to work, totally adjusted to it but now today it's like BAM Chat Icon I don't want to be here......

I know exactly what you mean. It totally stinks. But i just got done speaking to my boss and he said what i can do is I get 3 weeks vacation on top of my personal and sick days. So he said if i like i can take 2 of my vacations in days instead of weeks. So i think i might do that so i can take 1-2 days off every month

OMG... I was thinking the EXACT same thing. DS was born the end of May so my maternity leave was till the end of August. Worked out perfectly.

This weekend was so nice and DS is great out in the fresh air (no boogies either) Chat Icon

I actually just requested a bunch of Thurs and Friday's off each month so I can take Mason to the beach, parks, etc.

I tried a three of four day weekend at least once a month. Maybe do something like that so you have some weekends to look forward to. Chat Icon

Also, now that we'll be turning the clocks ahead I figured we can do outside stuff after I pick him up from daycare. Have dinner outside, go for a walk when we get home, etc.

It does feel worse in the spring/summer....esp for me in the summer since my cousins are teachers and they watch my kids in the summer and take them out for the park/ice cream etc.....i know I should be happy about that but it does make me sadChat Icon

Yep. and my sons daycare has an entire outside playground. I just make sure every weekend and some nights we are out and about with the kiddies. I also like your idea of taking some thur-fri off instead of a full week of time. I might spend my entire summer doing thisChat Icon Chat Icon
