Working moms- different routine on your days off?

I feel like DD has a totally different routine when I am not at work. During the week, she falls asleep on the way to my moms/MIL's and that changes the whole day. On the weekends, she just wakes up, then goes in for a nap later. How do you deal with the "weekend" routine vs during the week. The reason I ask is that I am going to start feeding DD twice a day and trying to figure out timing.

When Ryan was younger, daycare followed my/our schedule. Once he started in the toddler room, we tried to stick with their nap schedule with a little flexibility on weekends/days off.

Same here...we had to follow most of the weekday schedule but since we wake him on weekdays he does tend to sleep a little later on weekends (Chat Icon) but naptime is close to daycare's time and bedtime is usually the same. Since we tend to have things going on during the weekend we do find that times get pushed back but so far he seems to handle that well.

We try to keep to the same routine as far as getting up and going to bed.

She eats around the same time as she does during the week and she takes a two hour nap, but we are pretty relaxed about when it happens.

At day care, she naps from 12-2. On the weekends, we'll do it any time between 11:30 and 2 depending on what we are doing throughout the day.

Re: Working moms- different routine on your days off?

DD's routine and schedule is WAY different on the days I'm home with her than it is on the days she is in daycare. She easily adpats especially since her naps are non-exisitant at daycare. Right now, I feed her solids whenever there is time during the day. Her feeding schedule at daycare does not coincide with her home schedule.

At daycare she gets her cereal at 10am and a bottle at 10:30. At home she is in the middle of a nap at this time, so IF I give her cereal, she gets it around 11-11:30 when she wakes from her morning nap. (I say IF, because even at 7.5 months she is not really interested in food and I don't force it, as there is really no nutrional value to it at this age).

Her fruit or veggie she gets at daycare at 1:00, we are usually out at this time but home for her 2:30 nap, so depending on when we get home, I either give her, her fruit or veggie before her nap and bottle, or she will get it when she gets up from her nap.
