I have no idea when my mil bday is. she knows when mine is though. so, i don't know, i guess i'm no help here.

Our families are small and big on birthdays so Yes, she remembers my birthday every year. But it's also the day after a big holiday so that makes it easier to remember. We celebrate together every year.

Most importantly though, it seems that it does bother you. I think you should say something. Maybe she is just oblivious that it hurts your feelings.

Nope, wouldn't bother me.

I'm lucky I remember my own birthday, let alone everybody else's!!

Honestly, no. Not at all.

As far as I'm concerned, I'd only be upset if MY parents or my DH forgot my birthday.

As an adult, I no longer believe my birthday should be a national holiday that everyone must celebrate.

I don't think my MIL knew when my birthday was even though it was the day before one of my BIL's and her BIL.

I'm pretty sure none of his family *knows* my birthday.

I'm pretty sure my MIL has no idea when my birthday is, and I don't mind. But she hasn't even acknowledged DH's birthday for the past few years, and he's her own son, so I really can't expect her to remember my birthday. If we were closer with her, I might feel differently.

My MIL just turned 80. She forgets her own b-day, I sure as heck don't expect her to remember mine.

It would upset me, but I doubt it will ever happen since her son's bday(my Dh) is April 5th and mine is April 6th- she always calls or they take us both out at some point- have cake or whatever it is we are doing...

MIL and FIL are divorced. MIL barely remembers my birthday and FIL and his wife have NEVER even as much as called me on my birthday, in all the years Ive been with DH. It hurts me a lot. My parents celebrate every little thing DH related.

I just remembered that MIL forgot to call my DH on his birthday the first year we were dating. Man, did I win brownie points for being the only one to remember that year!

We all laugh about it now. She called the next day, mortified when she realized she was confused about the current date (not the date of DH's birthday)... He got over it.

Honestly, I love my bday and all, but I'm amazed at how people make SUCH a big deal out of it...

Yes, this would bother me. My MIL called me on the wrong day! So, needless to say, I was very upset about this. Did you decide say something to her about how you are feeling? I didn't say anything to my MIL about how I was feeling. I just said "ya know, my birthday is tomorrow, not today." She says to me "well at least I called."

My SIL is another story. I went out of my way to call her for her birthday and get her a gift. I don't really get along with her at all, so this was a stretch for me. My birthday was in July....I'm still waiting for a call. I'm not holding my breath.

I have known my dh 19 years and she still does not know or acknowledge my bday.
I've given up by now!

my MIL doesn't even know how old i am let alone my birthday! doesn't bother me at all!

In my case no because she is a Jehovah's Witness, so she probably wouldn't care. If she wasn't of that religion, I'll have to say...I'm not sure.
