would you switch jobs in this economy/

Heres the scenario:i

You have a job that is fairly stable in a stable company that you have been in for many years, good money in terms of salary, but definitely has some drawbacks including the biggest being lack of growth in the future and being kind of bored by the job...... then.....

out of nowhere Job B gets offered to you, more money, in a very recession proof field, seems like a good opportunity but it is unkonwm......potential for growth and potential to lead to a different career path of interest.....

based on what is going on with the economy and jobs, would you leave the stability of your job and take the new job

Personally, I wouldn't. I work in a relatively recession-proof field (education), and my cousin was just laid off in education for being last hired. I'd wait out the recession a bit until times are a little less volatile.

I would move b/c I get bored easily so I can see your interest. If you say the position is in a recession proof industry then I would totally go for it.
