I know! Mine isn't on the list yet, so there is still hope! I have so much work to do tomorrow it's going to really s u c k if I have to stay home.

Thanks, I just found the listings online. I cannot believe how many schools and daycares are already closed. So far ours is open.

We'll be on channel 5 - both the site and the tv channel I think. So far nothing - though I've been refreshing every 5 min b/c I'm sort of expecting it.

I saw one forecast that said up to 14 inches for some areas of LI... 
We got an automated call from the Connetquot school at 9:45pm saying that school is closed tomorrow.

i feel bad but the one dd goes to neevr closes....its not fair to those workers either if its bad out....i am lucky to be in a school...and one that actually closed this time...i feel for all those poor ladies!!!

Mine isn't up yet (but other franchises are) I think I'm keeping them home tomorrow anyway. no need for them to bring in workers in this bad weather.

My center is closed and I am so happy I was dreading bringing Jaidy out in this crap. Plus I have a 40 minute commute on a good day. It would have taken me forever to get there. We rarely close for snow, the last time was that storm in the 90's that was declared a state of emergency.

i worked in daycare for years...we have never ever closed in all the years i worked there, so if they are closed then you KNOW its bad out there, trust me, its a business they would never close unless it was hazardous!!!!!

Sure its a business but that's why we have to pay for an upcoming week on the Friday before. That is also why they charge late fees.

Same here
I take that back. Just checked the News 12 site, and his center is closed. So are the school districts near my job, which I am told "NEVER" close- I do not work in the schools, but sure do think I'll be staying home today

Before 6, Abby's day care had a two hour delay though it does follow the DOE so who knows now. I couldn't have gone into work anyway because I wouldnt have been able to get there until at least 2-3 hours after my school opened. Then Id have to turn back to get Abby because I am sure they would have closed early.
