I just cant stand her because she has no backbone. She stayed with a man who humiliated her, and her family by getting blown in the White House.
Again, I am not a Hillary fan, but I don't think it had anything to do with backbone, but rather sticking around to reap the benefits of being his wife. I seriously doubt she would be a US Senator today if she walked. JMO.
I agree with you on that....I think her staying was a calculated political move.
Oh lord, please don't run, Hillary. I would not vote for her. Everything she says is double-talk. I do not trust her in the least bit. I agree with you about it being disgusting that she stayed with Bill. They are always seen in public pretending to be together. Everyone knows they live separately.
Also, I would not vote for her just because she is a woman. If there was a woman that I respected then I would go for it.

I don't think she will win for several reasons: (1) she is a woman. Sad that this is even an issue- but its true. (2) she is very liberal and most of the US isn't. (3) she hasn't done all that much. She is a name, sure. But what has she done to earn her the credentials to be president. (4) A lot of people HATE her.
I woudl prefer that a more centralized Democrat ran for President. I am completely liberal- but I know that the US isn't. I think a more "rightist" democrat would have a better chance of winning.
I completely agree with this.

She's actually not that liberal at all. She's more of a moderate, but she's SEEN as a liberal, which is odd and will wokr against her. The liberal base won't vote for her bcause she is too moderate, moderate americans won't vote for her because she is "too liberal."

Agreed. That's why I think she's going to need one hell of a campaign manager.

i'm not a democrat but i think i would vote for her just because she is a lady.
but i'm not a full republican either.
Not to pick on you, but that's my biggest concern with this.
I love Hillary, I campaigned for her when she was first running in NY.
BUT I don't want people to vote for her (or anyone) just based on gender, or race or anything.
To me, it's almost as bad as NOT voting for someone just based on those things.
People should vote based on platforms and records and potential as a leader.
Not on a demographic statistic.
then i'll have to wait to see who she is running against, waht his/her views are and then i'll she what her views are and them make my decision.. not that it matters in ny anyway.. .

What bothers me is that people all over the country will judge Guiliani solely by how he handled 9/11, and although he did an extraordinary job in the most difficult of times, his entire tenure was not as great, nor was his life before he became mayor.
Me too. I hope he doesn't make it.
I agree!!! Giuliani himself is not a saint when it comes to infidelity as well.
but he didnt lie to the country about it. there is the difference.

Re: WOW! Hillary running for President!
I'm not in love with her. Running against Al Gore, John Kerry, or Especially Brack Obama in the primary, I would vote against her.
I don't think she's terrible, but she's gone back and forth so much, and I really don't like the fact that she won't take a direct stance on the war and social issues like gay marriage

He did not lie but the fact remains he still cheated on his wife. He was having his extra marital affair as well. He not lying does not make him more of a saint than Clinton they are all in the same boat IMO.

Re: WOW! Hillary running for President!
I also have to say I don't give a darn about Bill's infidelity and I don't think she's spineless for staying with him. That's a very personal decision. Maybe she has increible backbone to have the strength to forgive ehr husband and keep their family together. There are plenty of women on this site I'm sure who have forgiven a spouse for cheating, it's just not on the international stage.
Either way, i really don't think it has any effect on her ability as president. I was watching Chris Matthews and they were having a discussion about her presidential run and they said a big thing would be to clarfiy Bill's role early in the race, maybe appoint him as secretary of state, etc.

Bill's infidelity doesn't really get to me either, there are a lot of politicians who can't keep it in their pants...but I don't get the vibe from HRC that she stayed with her husband for the sake of her family. I just don't get a warm, family value kind of thing from her. JMO.
I know women who have stuck in through infidelity, and I also think it takes alot of strength and sometime admiration, but with her, I am just not feeling it. Don't know why

I was just saying you can spin it a different way.
I honestly don't care either way at all.

Re: WOW! Hillary running for President!
Dont like her. She doesnt complete promises and changes her views a lot.
I am and will always be a liberal Democrat and feel she will hinder the chance of having a Democratic president in 08.

she is extremely hated in this country and most likely won't even make it to the primaries
JMO
why is she extremely hated? I don't understand why people feel this way? Because she is a strong woman with opinions?
I don't like her because she bought a house in NY just so she could be a senator here (why not in AK where she is from??? bc NY Senators get more public spotlight)
what has she done as a senator for the citizens of NY? Now she is going to be attending all fundraisers and pumping herself up, how excactly will she be helping NY?

Re: WOW! Hillary running for President!
I highly doubt she would win the primary - she is too polarizing.
Also, sad as it is - I don't think this country is ready to elect a woman president.
