WW Friendly "Go To" Supermarket Foods
DH and I are back on WW again. We didn't last long with the new version the made awhile ago (when they lowered your daily points and upped the points on almost every food).
I used to have what brands and flavors of things like bread, yogurt, snacky stuff were the lowest points, but now I am totally lost!
What are your go-to for those type of foods and snacks?
Is there a web site where I can look up that info?
Any help would be soooooo appreciated!!

WW Friendly
Do you have etools? That helps a lot! Also, you can go on peapod and search for the brands you normally get- it gives you all the nutritional info so you can figure it out! For bread- low cal, whole wheat bread (The S&S light whole wheat is low). Yogurt- greek yoplait is only 2 pts. Chobani is 4-5 depending on the flavor. Vanilla is only 3 and plain 0% is 2. La Tortilla factory low carb tortillas are only 1 for the small one! I like to make them with grilled chicken. Light jolly time popcorn- the mini bags are only 3 pts. Cereal- kashi go lean (1/2 c. = 2 pts), all bran (1/2 c= 2 pts) are my favs. I drink skim milk (2 pts for a cup). Brown rice is 5 pts a cup.

Re: WW Friendly "Go To" Supermarket Foods
I agree that eTools are really useful. Also, I like the phone apps, like the bar code scanner. It really helps when you are grocery shopping and trying to figure out if you should buy something, or what brand/type to get, that will be reasonable on points. You just scan the bar code on your phone and the points per serving will pop up! (Sometimes it doesn't work and you need to use the points calculator on there to input nutritional info, but it's still useful).
Another trick to approximate points if you don't have a points calculator or internet access handy -- just divide the calories by 40. It will usually get you to the correct points value (or within a point or so) to give you an idea. You can always look it up later, but even estimating is better than nothing. You just can't use that trick with alcohol, but it will work with everything else.
I love that fruit is zero points on the PP plan, so I always stock up on that at the store... I will buy a melon or whole pineapple to cut up and use all week (I don't go crazy with the fruit, but I like to have some every day with breakfast, and also as a snack). Sometimes I will even have fruit for dessert with a little Reddi Whip, which is zero points if you use one (2 TB serving), or just a point for a bit more.
Eggs are still 2 pts each (for a large egg), and always a good thing to have on hand, so I stock up. I often make frittatas with leftover veggies, cheese, etc., and then I freeze individual pieces to pull out for breakfast or a light lunch or dinner. Also hard boiled eggs are great to have on hand.
As far as packaged foods/snacks --
I like the Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt. Some Greek yogurts are too thick and chalky for me, but this one is creamy and there are really good flavors. The "fruit on the bottom" kind is 3 pts each, and the "traditional" blended flavors are 4 pts.
I like the WW whole grain wraps, and I recently tried fiber one wraps. They are 2 pts each for a good sized wrap. I make wraps out of everything - salads, cold cuts, leftover meat from dinner, roasted veggies, even banana and peanut butter!
I am not big on packaged snacks, but I do sometimes buy the special K cracker chips -- 3 points for a general serving (approx. 27 chips), so you could cut that in half or thirds if you only want 1 or 2 points. I sometimes have a special K pastry crisp if I want something sweet with tea or coffee... they are 3 pts for a serving (which includes 2 thin pastry crisps).
I like the Pepperidge Farm Cinnamon swirl bread for a sweet treat, too, or when I want a sweeter breakfast. It's 2 pts (80 calories) per slice.
WW cheese sticks are 1 pt each, and so are the Laughing Cow Mini Baby Bell cheeses. I like to snack on them with an apple or pear for a 1 pt snack.
There are a lot of individually packaged ice cream treats (beyond just the WW brand) that are good portion controlled desserts. I recently bought a package of full sized Blue Bunny birthday cake ice cream sandwiches that were 3 pts each, and today I bought little chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream mini cones at Trader Joe's, and they are 2 pts a piece.
Good luck!
