wwyd - Induction question
I am 37 weeks preggo. I am having severe pain from nerve compression in my leg that makes it impossible to do anything without pain.
And now I am being treated for a UTI as well and I tested positive for strep B.
My dr. made it clear she didn't want me to go past 40 weeks for a few different reasons, but is now offering me the option of being induced between 39-40 weeks.
Part of me thinks it's appealing - and part of me thinks the baby will come when he's good and ready.
Any thoughts or advice?

Re: wwyd - Induction question
if you think you can handle it i would try to go to 40 weeks and then if there were no signs that he is coming, go for the induction at 40 weeks.
if not, i'd wait until as close to 40 weeks as possible.
sorry you are in pain

Re: wwyd - Induction question
I'm sorry you are going through this! If you are dilated enough at your 39 week appt for an induction, then i would do the induction! I was induced at 39 weeks, I was 3 cm and 80% effaced...the induction was successful!! Good luck to u!!

Re: wwyd - Induction question
I would wait until you are as close to 40w as possible pending you can stand the pain you are feeling. I am 40+ weeks & going to ask the Dr Tuesday about inducing later this week. I am so uncomfy but wanted to wait & see if our little boy would come on his own. I guess he has other plans though

Re: wwyd - Induction question
My feeling is that if you are in pain, your body produces a lot of chemicals naturally to cope with pain, and your straining, both are NOT good for baby.
Only as a last resort would I induce, and this to me seems like a last resort to alleviate pain that will be causing myself and baby distress.
