WWYD - neighbor issue
Right after we bought our house but before we moved in my neighbors had a new PVC fence installed. Found out today, at the time it was done they hit out sprinkler line in 2 places.....$75 to fix. Landscaper recommended asking them to pay the bill.
We only moved recently.....they seem nice enough, just not overly friendly. Would you ask for the money?
p.s.....i already made up my mind, nut wanted other opinions

Yeah I wouldn't ask either, living next door to a PIA is much worse than spending $75

My first reaction is that I would eat the cost. My second reaction is to question why the fence is so close to your sprinkler heads. Were the guys just careless or is the fence too close or on your property? I might mention it to them, just to avoid another repair bill in the future.

I would just pay for it myself, but if it ever came up I would make sure my neighbor knew I had to get the sprinkler fixed.

We are not asking for it....just wanted other opinions b/c a family member was shocked we were not asking for it.
We wave hi to them and stuff but that is pretty much it.....to me, $75 isn't worth it.
When they were fixing it today he came out and kind of looked over a bit then got in his car and drove away, and they were right on the edge of his property so I know he saw what was going on.
