WWYD?

Would you go a semi-crowded beer garden (social distancing and outside) to see someone next week? This person has also travelled around a bit for his job and you haven’t seen him in 2 months. He is also not too concerned and seems to think that the tar from smoking “protects” his lungs Chat Icon . Our numbers are starting to go up as we started slowly opening up last week.

My other solution is to sit across the street from each other and drink a beer that way.

Do what you are comfortable with. If you feel like you can safely be social distanced at an outdoor beer garden, go for it. I know you have been pretty isolated so I'm sure you are looking to just be in a social setting. Fresh air, music and beer sound great right about now. If you are fearful, than doing the street thing is not a bad option either.

No. I avoid people who are not too concerned. Reminds me of what it would feel like to date a nymphomaniac

this.
trust your gut.

if you feel that you want to get out and interact with someone you know, take your precautions and do it.

if you feel that you're not ready for that, have your beer across the street.

I agree that you have to do what makes you comfortable, but personally, no, I wouldn't go.

I would choose the sit 6 feet apart and have a beer.

Beer gardens I would worry about other people being morons - spitting, etc. If its just me and someone I know I would worry less.

I would, but if this is your boyfriend that you have spoken of before, I personally would find it difficult not to hug and touch them and would want sex....

To see your boyfriend? Or in a group setting with others? I would go to see my boyfriend if I were in that situation, and wear masks I guess and sit far apart if you aren't comfy around him? Especially with not seeing him for 2 months, I mean if you still like him Chat Icon

Re: WWYD?

Do you have any pre-existing conditions that could cause complications if you got COVID? If not, then I would actually just let him come home at this point. I know, we all know that totally healthy person that ended up sick with COVID and in the hospital, but the fact of the matter is that 99.6% of people in the 40-50 age bracket will survive COVID. Most people won;t even know they have it!!! And, most of that 0.4% that don't make it had pre-existing conditions.

Is this your boyfriend you're talking about? If so, I think letting one person into your house is less risky than coming into contact with a bunch of strangers at a beer garden.

Can I be honest? I would 100% go see my boyfriend (which I am assuming is who you are talking about Chat Icon Chat Icon ) but I would have him over to my house and make up for lost time. Chat Icon

But if not, I would totally go meet him somewhere out. I am sure you will be fine especially if you're social distancing from everyone else.Chat Icon

Re: WWYD?

With all of your concern this whole time with covid, sit 6 feet apart and enjoy a nice quiet beer together. If you go, you’ll be to busy thinking about everyone around you to enjoy the time for yourself

Re: WWYD?

I think we are going to go to a park instead of a beer garden. I did hear the parks get crowded, though.

They also aren’t open yet and are set to open the 18th, but I see that changing because our numbers are rising after having a lot opened up.

As for the sex thing Chat Icon , I’m too afraid of catching Covid to even think about having sex. We’ve always been pretty good about controlling that and he is very set in his schedule (it’s a German thing, don’t ask Chat Icon )
