WWYD-Birthday party invite
As a rule, I don't invite out of town family to DS' birthdays. Obviously they cannot come, so I don't bother.
My dad only has one sister and she lives in Boston. I am not close to her, but she takes a lot of interest in Christopher. She IS close to my sister, and she mentioned on the phone to my sister that she was going to be in NY around Christopher's birthday and if she knew what I was doing for it. Caroline told her to talk to me, she could call, email or FB me about it.
This was a few weeks ago and I haven't heard anything. I am about to send out invites, should I send one to her? I feel weird....

Re: WWYD-Birthday party invite
I would send it out with a note that if she's in town, you'd love to see her but understand the distance could be a problem & understand if she can't make it.

Re: WWYD-Birthday party invite
I would just send her an email/FB about it, not a real invite.

The only reason I don't want to do this is b/c sometimes my sister talks out her azz or misinterprets what people are saying, so I don't know for sure what was said...

Re: WWYD-Birthday party invite
I'd send an invite with something written inside like..."If you're in town...."
