WWYD? Framed Print dilemma!
Ok, so I already own this print and it's hanging in my son's nursery:
I want to get another print for the same wall, but I don't know if I should use the same frame that was used for the first print or if I should use a totally different frame. These 2 fairly large prints will be the only things on that wall.
Here's with the same frame:
And this is the other frame I like:
If I could have kept the mat the same color, I would have definitely kept the frames the same, but the maroon mat just didn't work with this print. (I'm also limited to what color mat I can choose because of the size of this print.)
So, what would you guys do?

Not to throw a monkey wrench into your plans, but I actually like the smooth finish frame with the print you already own When I was looking at it, I was thinking that the simple frame with the detailed border on the matting would look nice next to the detailed frame and plain mat. Sort of like a flip flop of each other.
But since I don't think you want to reframe the one you own, I say get the same frame.
And when you get a chance, please DO post pics of his nursery. I remember seeing the tentative stuff but never did see the finished product.

Same frame. It will look more coordinated, rather than I got this one and then I saw the other in a store 3 years later.

I live the smooth frame better with both i think, but I think the frames should match since the mats are different. love the prints!

Yeah...I kickin' myself for not getting the first print in the smooth frame, but there's no way in hell I'm re-framing it.
I ended up ordering the 2nd print in the same frame/first frame.
I'll get pics up once the new print is delivered.

I like the idea of coordinating frame but not the same but since you are putting them on the same wall, same frame would be better

I don't think so. The new print is pretty big when framed. I got it so it would fill the wall up.

The more I look at the photos...the more I'm kickin' myself for not going with the smooth frame for the first print! Oh well!
I'm expecting more wall decor today, which will be going over the crib.

I think I would use the same frame,
only because the mats are different colors,
and imo looks more "uniform" WITHOUT being so "matchy"- I personally hate anything too "matchy"!

i relly like the current frame. it blends well with the hardware of the changing table.
where will the new artwork (pic posted) be hung? i was going to suggest leaving the changing table wall as is with just the one photo and place the new photo above the crib.
do you have pics of the artwork that you intend to hang above the crib? wondering if you could re-angle the chair just a little and create a collage above.

Either frame will work, but I think the pics should have the same frame.
ETA: I really like the current frame you have and would frame the new picture with the same frame with the different mat colors. It looks great!

Sounds like a plan!!!! 
Actually, the new print would work better over by the crib to hide the hideous monitor wire! I keep trying to figure out how I can somehow disguise it. Thanks!!!!
Now I'm trying to figure out what I should place behind the chair. Maybe I'll check ebay for an old circus pennant.

Now I'm trying to figure out what I should place behind the chair. Maybe I'll check ebay for an old circus penant.
Can you punch a hole in the wall for the monitor wire? Drop it in the wall and have it come through close to the outlet so you don't see it. We did that. It looks nice and clean that way.

Oh yeah, the room looks beautiful. Was this Jill's room before? What does her big girl room look like or did the decor say the same but just shift down the hall?
