WWYD: Rain Date for First Birthday

My DS's first birthday party is on a Saturday in August. I didn't consider this beforehand, and am now regretting putting a raindate on the invitation (the raindate is for Sunday). I didn't consider the fact that the entertainment we hired will not be available the next day (and what would we do with the 20+ kids that we invited???!!!) and, also, we are having the food catered...I don't know if the deli would have the food for the next day "just in case". I am considering sending out a mass email telling people that the party will be on Saturday rain or shine. Is this a good idea? WWYD?

I would not have a raindate. To much to coordinate and many people might not be able to make it the other day.

For food the deli will need notice to switch the dates so its not likely they will be ok with a day of change.

Since you already put a raindate on the invite (and I'm assuming you sent them out already) yes, I would call/email/Facebook message everyone and tell them that the party is going to be Saturday no matter what.

Im in the same situation. and have decided that there will be no rain date. I'm just going to will for nice weather and deal with rain and letting people know if I have to.
