WWYD? Watching another child related

THank you for your responses. I think I'mgoing to go for it and am kind of getting excited about it too! Well, I still have to talk to the parents to see if it will work out with both our schedules but I'm hoping it willChat Icon

In a year the age difference won't matter, so if you like the mom I'd go with it. If its horrible you can help her find an alternative.

I agree...the 6 month old will be a one year old in a flash.

I say go for it! The 6 month old won't be mobile yet, so I don't think it will be as hard as you think. Plus at that age, the baby will probably have 2 naps so there really won't be much interaction in the beginning. Santino will probably love to have another baby around. When my DD#1 was 1 year old, she loved to play and hang out with other kids- older and younger. I say do it! GL with your decision. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: WWYD? Watching another child related

almost my EXACT situation except they were 2 mos apart.

i started watching teacher's kid when josh was 9 mos old.
I was nervous about the nursing.
best thing I ever did.
Did it for 2 school years.
Josh is still so in love with this boy. They play for hours together still so great without a single conflict.

I watch two one year old boys in my home M-F and my DD is 21 months if that makes you feel any better about it. I started watching the one kid when he was just 3 months old and my DD was almost a year old. I started with the other kid when he was about 9 months old. The first week was an adjustment but then I got a routine going and it was fine. Chat Icon
