Re: WWYD? would you bring a 1 month old to the hospital to visit your fil?
I absolutely would...no questions asked. It's just too important not to do for your husband and his father. I know the decision is hard for you but honestly I think this is something that needs to be done.

Given the situation, I definitely would bring the baby to see him in the hospital.
I hope the visit goes well. Your family is in my prayers

My intital response was NO WAY when I read the title, but when I read the post, I changed my mind. Yes I would...although I would make it a short visit.

Re: WWYD? would you bring a 1 month old to the hospital to visit your fil?
For your situation, I would definately bring the baby.
DS had to be brought to the hospital from 6-11 days when I was re-admitted into the hospital. Although my complications were due to chiildbirth, and I was released from maternity just 24 hours earlier, they couldn't allow me to go back to maternity because I was 'dirty' from the outside world. I was sent to what was known as a 'dirty' floor of the hospital and DS came to see me for a few hours everyday. I was nursing him. It can work for special circumstances.

I just wanted to add that you also don't know what the visit might do for FIL's fighting spirit! Maybe seeing his grandchild will motivate him even more to fight to get out of the hospital (although it sounds like he is a fighter anyway!)

Normally i would never ever bring a one month old to a hospital but in this situation I probably would. With the ok of a ped of course. I couldn't imagine the guilt I would feel if he never got to meet his grandchild
I am so sorry you are going through this
