8,000 is a lot for pre-school! I would do the free one for sure.

ITA - I pay approximately that for my DD for a FT pre-school in a daycare so she is there pretty much 8:30-5 5 days a week

Re: WWYD...school related
Thanks Ladies...I am leaning toward the Free one also but I worry about her leaving her friends and then having to leave the new friends she would make at the new school........ because then for Kindergarten she would be going to the school in our district which would mean another change....so that would mean.......she went to a merrick Nursery school.......a public queens pre-k and then back to Merrick again for K and up......am I thinking too much into this?

Re: WWYD...school related
If both are licensed and safe - and if I like the curriculum/teaching styles for both equally - I'd go free.
ETA: Robbie went to Pre-K in Bay Shore and school in Sayville.. he had only 1 child who was in his pre-k that also is in his school now. Noah went to Pre-K in East Islip. 3 other kids were from Sayville.. but all of them went to different elementaries than Noah! It really didn't matter in the slightest. They've made new friends to add to the collection of pre-K friends!
