Re: cruises

If you have AAA, that is a great place to start. I use travelocity as well, bring to quote to a travel agent and see if anything can be brought down. Good luck!

Re: cruises

Depending on the cruise line I find that www.bestpricecruises.com
often has the best rates.

My parents and friends use this company all the time. 99% of the time have the best rates. We often get shipboard credit, photos and something else - you can book over the phone iwth them if you don't feel comfortable using the internet this is what I do.

I also recommend you check out www.cruisecompete.com
You put in what cruise you are interested in and they will send you various bids from a bunch of different companies.

Now if you are booking a RCCL or Celebrity cruise they don't do much discounting these days - but some companies are key accounts and they have accesses to better rates.

Also you might want to check out group rates - this is one way many people are able to get around the no discounting. The TA will set aside a block of rooms, so you can get a great rate that way.

You might also want to check out the above prices and then take them to a TA - I have not been able to find a TA who can match the prices that they have in general. But I know some out there do. Def. price shop.

Also check out www.cruisecritic.com

It is like this board only for cruising - you will find tons of good information there.

Also unless you are planning to go to say Europe or your starting destination will be different than the end destination you are best to book your own airfare. Not only do you save money there (in most cases so you can price it out) but you will have a choice of flights and airlines.
