Xpost...HCG question...need help/opinions

Hi Ladies...posted this on the TTC board....

I'm in hiding right now but I need some advice/opinions...I'll try to keep it short

Got my BFP on 4/19
On 4/21 (about 5w3d) starting having spotting...went to the doc didn't see anything on the sono and sent me to get my beta #s
First test on 4/21 was 22
Second test on 4/24 was 89
I had period like bleeding for 5 days starting on the 21st

Started having minor cramping and spotting again last night and went to the doc...still nothing on the sono and the doc said she doesn't think anything will happen with this pregnancy and wanted me to go for beta testing again today and once more this coming Friday to see how my numbers are going down to decide if i will miscarry on my own or if i will need a D&C

Just got the results from this morning and my numbers didn't go down...went up to 343

Don't want to get my hopes up but does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Could my dating be that far off or could I have ovulated 2x??? Should have O'd around 3/28-3/30

Just don't know what to think....

Has your doctor ruled out an ectopic pregnancy?

I had an ectopic. Typically your beta and progesterone are low but still increase.

My numbers were:
beta #1 - 69
beta #2 - 117
beta #3 - 194
beta #4 - 431

They didn't see anything in the uterus, but found it in my left tube.

I was lucky enough be be monitored by a RE and caught it early enough were I did not need surgery.

wanted to add, that the ectopic did not show up on the internal sonograms done by the RE. I had to go to a Radiologist.

thanks so much...ectopic was my concern too and I did ask the doc about it yesterday. I guess I'll have to wait and see what the numbers are on Friday for them to give me a better idea.
