Re: yet another PIO question
At first i kept reading the post as the PIA question! Freeze your leg for about five minutes prior to the injection. I gave myself the shots, so i always gave it in the lateral side of my thigh-- that didn't really hurt. FYI NEVER give it in the anterior aspect i couldn't walk for two days!!

Re: yet another PIO question
Honestly, they are NOT bad at all!! I was freaked out looking at the needles, but I am going into week 4 of them and at this point it's a walk in the park. My butt is definately sore and bruised, but as for pain during the injection- I don't have any. I never used ice or heat packs, we just massage the oil in and then it's fine. The anticipation is far worse then the actual shot.

Re: yet another PIO question
Well we did it and it was 100% painless! I didnt use heat/ice, just turned my feet inward (I saw to do that somewhere) and had dh massage for a bit after. I'm sure my butt will be sore tomorrow though judging from size of needle.

Re: yet another PIO question
SOmetimes mine were fine and I felt nothing...Sometimes they were so so. MOSTLY fine.
I think I had a few really bad ones, but a FEW....And it was over quick.
You will be amazed at how well you can handle it

I found using a warm compress worked better, because the ice made it hurt for me and made the oil more difficult to go in. The warmer the area, the more easy the oil went in.

Re: yet another PIO question
The injections themselves don't hurt..you will be sore a day or two later.

Re: yet another PIO question
thanks everyone. I am not concerned about being sore the next day. I was just reading so much on the internet about them hurting people, I wanted to get some honest answers. I feel better now!
