Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
Sorry for all the questions but I'm just trying to cover all bases. How many weeks do you get for "free" at your daycare facility for vacation/sick etc?

Re: Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
We get 1 week free a year after 6 months of enrollment
ETA: We still have to pay if he's out sick

Re: Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
We really dont get any "free" days. The daycare center follows the public school calendar so they are closed when the neighboring public schools are closed. If we keep Jacob home if I am off or DH is off, we dont have to pay for that time. If he is home sick, we still have to pay.

I have to check the manual, but I think it's 2 weeks vacation plus some sick days.

None - but they do give a 50% off discount for up to two weeks a year if you go on vacation.

Re: Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
Of all the years my DD went to daycare(from 1yr to 5yrs) we never got a break or a free week.
Wow you're lucky if you get a week or 2 for free!

Re: Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
None. I would be responsible for paying even if he didn't go. If I told our first place in advance we would pay 1/2 price for the week (maybe).

Re: Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
Home provider takes off all government holidays and 2 weeks at Christmas. Other than that no free days off. I pay if I stay home with DD if she is sick, I am sick, or for vacation.

Re: Yet another question for daycare mommies-With Poll
I just checked the handbook. I guess we have it pretty good! We get two weeks (10 days) vacation and 7 sick or personal days.
