Yet Another Update: Need honest opinions...Please send prayers and follicle growing dust my way
I am so upset. My ultrasound this morning showed that I only have 3 good follicles...and a few smaller ones that I guess don't really count. The last two ultrasounds everything looked great and they counted multiple small follies. Now I have only 3 that are responding????? DH and I have pretty much given up everything to do this cycle at Cornell. I can't imagine having success with only 3 follicles. My last IVF at Columbia I had 9. I still have a few days left but the RE didn't really seem too positive about the other ones catching up (I started Lupron last Friday and then added Menopur and Follistim on Sunday) Do you think there is still time?
Update: Went for b/w and u/s this morning and not much has changed. The three follicles got a little larger and now there is one that is about a 10. I asked the RE (same one as yesterday) if they would cancel the cycle and she said it is up to Dr. Chung but they do sometimes cancel when there are only 3 follicles. This totally sucks.
Update 11/9: Well I must be the only one who has follicles that shrink. My 10 is now an 8.5. Great. I think this cycle is a bust.
Update #2: I can't believe that Cornell actually called again this afternoon and asked me to come back for another ultrasound. I was there within an hour and saw Dr. Goldshlag. He wanted to see if they could push me one more day on the meds but unfortunately the follicles I do have are ready now. So now I have to do my trigger shot tonight and have to be back at Cornell at 6:30 in the morning.
Soooo. The big question is should I even go through with this?? I am paying out of pocket so if I canceled now I would only be paying for b/w, u/s and meds. If I canceled this cycle I would have to wait until January but I'm sure they would change my protocol and maybe I would respond better. I was hoping to get a lot of eggs so we could something to freeze. I know that only DH and I can make this decision but I would appreciate any thoughts/opinions/experience you can share. I am 37 and this is was a new protocol for me. My 1st IVF I had 9 eggs, tranferred 3 nice quality embryos (BFN) and did an FET with my one and only frozen embryo in May (chemical). Thanks so much ladies!

How big are they?
One is 15.5 and the other two I'm not really sure...I think one was 16 and one was less than 15. I only remember the 15.5 because my mind started wandering once I heard I only had 3.

They haven't suggested anything yet. I guess when I get my phone call with instructions this afternoon I'll know more. The RE I got this morning really had very little to say about anything. I didn't like her at all.

I'm doing the microdose Lupron protocol. Lupron 2x a day plus follistim and menopur. I'm so angry because I didn't have this problem last time (in January at Columbia) and I just don't understand it. I can't help but think that maybe if I stayed at Columbia I might be pg right now. I am just so mad right now. Yesterday when the nurse called she said that maybe they would switch it to an IUI!! I'm like...uh that didn't work for us and it is not an option at this point. I'm not about to take a step backwards. I'm so mad!

I'm assuming this is a new protocol for you...unfortunately sometimes that happens
Changing protocols are just a shot...could be better, could be worse...sometimes you may have less eggs and better quality though...
