Re: Your 2nd child

My 2nd is harder not that he isnt a great sleeper and eater but since hes been born he has been making mommy a nervous wreck, nothing major but when he was born they kept testing his sugars cause he was so big, then he had jaundice, then his thyroid blood work came back high PRAISE GOD we had it retested and he is fine, we had to bring him back to the dr cause he wasnt gaining weight, he had baby acne, was spitting up lots and lots, cradle cap. It never ends with this little guy but he really is a sweet baby and only cries when hes hungry and just started sleeping 7 hours straight just in time for mommy to go back to workChat Icon

Re: Your 2nd child

My 2nd is more sensitive and more fussy. Or maybe I just don't remember the bad times from the first one.

Re: Your 2nd child

My 1st was way easier than my 2nd. They have opposite personalities. DD was very easy going, hardly cried, and could totally go with the flow. From the beginning, DS has been touchy. He wants what he wants the way he wants it or will tell you otherwise. He cries and screams sometimes for no reason other than to be heard. He's not 100% difficult, but he's not as go with the flow as DD was. She definitely spoiled us.

Re: Your 2nd child

My DD (who was #2) was DEFINITELY the easier baby.

However I will say that my DS (who was #1) didn't go through the terrible 2s and my DD is now a complete beast at 2!

Oiy this terrifies me!Chat Icon DD was such an easy baby...like even for a first time mom I was always thinking she was so easy in the beginning. Latched perfectly, STTN at 9 weeks, low maintenance, just a JOY. Even now at 23 months she is so fun and mellow (and a pain in the butt at times, but that's the age).

I'm due with #2 soon and terrified about he/she being difficult. I can't imagine being lucky twice with easy babies. And now I'll have a two year old to deal with as well. Eeek!

I'm in the same situation with#1 & I'm scared how #2 will be...eeek, guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

Im am due with DC#2 as well. DS was not too bad then when he hit 18 months he has some tantrums and we are still going thru it a liitle bit and he is 2.5 now. Im nervous when the baby comes in the fall.

Re: Your 2nd child

Yes, my 2nd is SUCH an easy-going kid (has been since she was born, and she's almost 2 now).

My first (also a girl) was TOUGH, and still is. Just a needy kid. Smart as a whip, but needy.

I guess my youngest sensed that she needed to be mellow in order to survive in our house Chat Icon

Re: Your 2nd child

My 2nd was an easier baby but I think she's going to be a handful as a toddler/preschooler. She's soooooo stubborn now.

I was thinking the same thing!!!

DD was the best baby ever! She was a slightly difficult toddler, but really not that bad. She has a little attitude now, but I think it's the age.

I'm so scared that I won't be as lucky this time.

Re: Your 2nd child

Mine are very much like yours. My DD1 (almost 4) was just like you described your first but a great sleeper; terrible eater. She is very compassionate and artistic. DD2 is so easy going and charismatic. She's got a good throwing arm and loves animals. I don't know what i would do if history repeated itself!

Me too! DD was such a good baby - I'm afraid that we might be in for it with this one!
