We are spending a week in Italy and a week in Greece.

We did Paris this past year. Hoping to do Hawaii this year, but it probably won't happen due to time and financial considerations.

Italy!!! i've always wanted to go there.
But, we're going to the dominican republic in January, TTC in the fall, and in between then, we might not have any time to go. So, DR might be our 'big trip' before the kids come 
But, we don't intend to stop traveling once we have kids, so i dont have that "well, its now or never" feeling

We're both well traveled and dont plan on stopping once we have kids. We're having our first child in May and are hoping to go to Tuscany in summer 08. We want to go with a few other couples and stay in a villa and take a day trip to Siena and a day trip to Venice. My parents are already signed up and will watch our child for one afternoon while we go to siena.
Rome is wonderful and I'd love to go back one day, but I've never been to Tuscany. Villa rentals are actually very reasonably priced and you can get them with TONS of bedrooms, a pool, maid, cook, etc. The real expense is the airfare.
I lived in Ireland from 2000-2001 so reading that so many people wanted to go there made me smile! It's wonderful and beautiful and Dublin is a really great city. Definitely try and make it over there!

We were just discussing this over thanksgiving and what a great idea it is.... As for us, we don't really plan on having "one big trip before kids". I travelled alot with my family growing up and DH and I have no problem travelling with any future children we may have. That being said DH and I don't really plan on ttc for another 3 years

Yes! We are actually going on the "last trip" before TTC this summer to Switzerland and Italy! Travel is very important to us so we wanted to do alot before we have children. Although we do plan on bringing children with us once they are old enough...
