the hits just keep on comin'
i was just informed of the first covid death in my family.
my step-grandmother (who was more of a grandmother to me than my biological grandmother) passed away about two hours ago from complications of covid.
she was 100.
i went to her 100th birthday party back in october.
she was the sweetest woman i've ever met. she made me the little dress i wore to my baptism (which i still have). her name was Gloria, i used to call her Yoya because i couldn't pronounce her name.
i don't even know if we'll be able to gather for any kind of services.
my heart is broken.
