What streaming service (or combo) do you use? Looking for the basic live channels CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC
And some others like TLC, Nick Jr. some of these cost $65 plus per month, plus we will need to keep internet, is everyone really saving much by getting rid of cable?

2 out of our 5 TV’s are not smart TV’s, is there a solution to that or I need to buy new TV’s for this to work?

The streaming services have become so expensive now that its hardly worthwhile. We have the AT&T one because my husband wanted yes network. I think it's up to 90 now. Now the good thing is we save on equipment and fees and we cancel during the seasons and go back the $5 hulu since we don't need the live sports....

You dont need a new tv or smart tv. We have a fire stick for the living room and and old apple tv device in our room

We pay 60 a month for Fubo. Its worth it because you don't have to pay monthly DVR device fees, blahblahblah. Plus you can watch anywhere on any device.

I think they have a free trial if you want to see what it is like for a month. I have a referral code that will give you 30 dollars off your first billed month, I can send that if you want.

There are some savings depending on which streaming service you use + internet. To make a TV smart, you can look at RoKu or Fire sticks for about 30 bucks.

We have a digital antenna so we do not pay for local television.

We borrow children TV shows from the library for free. Paw Patrol, Super Wings, PJ Masks - they have everything you could want!

For streaming, we have Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Re: Cutting the cable cord

we just did this. we were paying waaaay too much for TV. We were paying for Verizon (Internet, Cable and phone) for $230 a month.

Plus we had netflix (8.99) hulu (5.99), disney +(6.99).

Ridiculous! we found we were streaming way more than we were watching cable TV anyway so...

We got rid of the house phone (which we never used either) and cable. New bill for internet only is $84 a month.

so now verizon internet is $84, plus we have Hulu TV (72.99) which includes Disney + and ESPN +

still pay netflix for 8.99.

so we went from paying $252 a month for everything to $166. which i think its a pretty good savings and more reasonable for household entertainment expenses lol
