Boston
We may be spending a few days in Boston at the end of August. We have never been and will be going with our kids who are 11yrs and 7yrs.
Would love some suggestions on the following:
-Hotel - safe area where we can walk around -Things to do with Kids -Restaurants - all types of food - would love stuff unique to Boston
We will have our car but would like to be within walking distance to good restaurants and possibly Quincy Market.

Re: Boston
We were just in Boston for a day in June. We toured Fenway Park (my boys 15 and 10 are obsessed with all things baseball) and also toured the USS Constitution which was pretty cool. We ate dinner at Warren Tavern which is a historic spot in Boston so I would definitely recommend that as well and had lunch at Cheers. Pretty neat to see that too.

Re: Boston
Boston is one of my favorite cities!
I like staying at the Marriott on the Long Wharf. It's right next to the aquarium. This is also where you can hop on a Duck Boat tour. There is also the Marriott Pulse and those may have rooms with kitchettes.
The city is pretty walkable. Boston Commons is nice to visit and the last time were were up there during baseball season - The Red Sox were doing a whole free event in the park with SWAG.
The Hay Market is on Saturdays and always fun to walk through.
Paul Revers home is a nice visit on the Freedom trail.
Eat in Little Italy - see about getting reservations for dinner or brunch. Some many great places to visit.
Bova's Bakery in in Little Italy and open 24 hours - it's better then Mike's IMO
Faneuil Hall is just food but the square has lots of fun street performers if you are looking for something quick to eat and be entertained.

Re: Boston
We like the area by the aquarium. We were able to walk to the Children's museum as well, and over to the North end (we love Mike's Pastry for cannoli's). We also went to Fanuiel Hall and did a duck boat tour. The freedom trail is nearby too.

Boston
I just got back last week from a trip there. We did Whale Watching that left from the aquarium. It was fantastic. Also, we did a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard which was great too.

Re: Boston
We also like the Long Wharf. I highly recommend the Go City Boston pass. It includes so much! We saved hundreds of dollars with that.
Also, hands down the BEST Whale Watching is Seven Seas Whale Watch in Gloucester. It's AMAZING. We saw so many whales and dolphins. HUGE whales right next to the boat. They have a location they take you to where they all hang out. I've told a lot of friends about it, and they have went and had the same experience. Sometimes there is a Groupon for it. A bit of a drive from Boston, but it's worth it. We went on our way back from Maine.
