Can someone tell me what to expect with a medicated (shots)l...

IUI?? I am going to start one hopefully this next cycle and I am terrified of the needles. Any info would really be appreciated. Also, do you think it would be terrible if my dh froze his sperm and when the time came I used that. He works in heating in the city and cant take off, so I was thinking this might be away around that.

I don't have any experince (yet) with injectables, but I wanted to wish you good luck and baby blessings. Hopefully everything goes well with little to no side effects

The meedles are very easy, you barely even feel them. As far as sperm I think fresh is better, and also know that he can collect it at home and you can bring it to the clinic, so he shouldnt have to take time off.

Like Pauline said...the needles are not bad. You just may feel bloated from the injections

I just had my first week of injections last week and did my IUI on Friday. I was very scared of the needle so I had my sister and husband do it for me. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. I noticed that there was no pain at all if they did it slowly, not like in the beginning when both of them did it a bit faster. I still haven't done it myself yet. I didn't have any side effects from follistim (I was tired though). I think I was on a lower dosage.
