Not TTC yet, but I have a question
We want to start trying at the end of the year. I'm on the pill now, but absolutely HORRIBLE at remembering to take it. I almost feel like it's not worth it. I've been on it for years, and want to go off before we start trying anyway. How long before we start trying do you think I should stop.
BTW, I'd ask my doctor, but I have to find a new one. If anyone has any recs in Queens/Western Nassau, I'd love to hear 'em.

Dr.'s have different opinions on this. Some say you can start tying right away (once you get off), some say wait a month or two.
I say if you get off sooner than later, and don't want to be pg right away (because you never know), use a back up method.
Sorry, I don't have dr. rec's in Queens/Nassau.

I went off 3 months before trying. But that was my personal decision- I wanted to see what my cycles were like w/o BCP.

my dr said you should wait a couple of months. She suggested going off, then taking pre-natals for a few months to get your uterus super healthy again...

Well I am sooo glad I went off after the wedding cause I havent gotten my period at all and it is giving me time to sort of possible problems.
