Please don't let the surgery scare you. If it's done my an excellent surgeon the complication risks go way down.
I just FM'd you pretty much the same thing Marisa. My Dad had this surgery and he is just FINE. And much much older than Anthony.
One thing you can do is find out his blood type and see if you're a match. I gave blood to my father for his op, and it felt good to be able to do something for him like that.
OMG the same thing happened to my dad!!!!! (Except he was having a different type of surgery when they punctured his intestines) I'm soo sorry you are going through his! Hope he gets better real soon!!!
