Ideas for grade 4 field trips
We took out 4th grade to Bethpage Village Restoration and a play at Adam,s Playhouse at Hofstra. Im looking to do something different this year. Anyone have any good ideas?

I love OB Village
What about Ellis Island...or is that too far?
I teach 4th in NYC and we are looking into museum of Nat History and some other Native American exhibits

We do:
*Old Bethpage
*Smithtown Historical Society
*Suffolk County Historical Society
*Walking tour of downtown NYC
*Three Village Historical Society in house presentation
Locally:
*Museum
*Our town's historical society
This year I am going to set something up with SPLIA. They are out of Cold Spring Harbor but have historical sites all over LI.
I also just got something yesterday out of Smithtown for a Native American program.

LI Museum in the riverhead area has an amazing program with a real one room school house and other programs.
also, when i taught 4th grade we went to the air and space museum and the kids loved it

do you mean the air and aspace museum in Farmingdale? Do you have any info in it?

We are going to Blydenburg (sp?), Sagamore Hill, Air & Space and a couple of more that I can't think of right now. We are going to Blydenburg on Friday and I can't wait!!
