Re: Could you stand your spouse if you had to...
the things that we do for a living, our careers would never cross.
if i had to work in his place of work, i'd run him over with a forecliff (sp?)
if he had to work in my place of work, i'd wrap the phone cord around his neck and then ram his head into the monitor.
in other words, NO!

Re: Could you stand your spouse if you had to...
We;ve done it before. I've hired him on a few shows as a PA or ASM. In both cases I was his boss. I find I have a lot more patience for my other subordinates and end up yelling at him. Also, he kind of doesn't always know his place and it really gets on my nerves.

Re: Could you stand your spouse if you had to...
I know we could work together since we make a great team but I just wouldn't want to. I like that we each have time away from each other for work and come home to each other at the end of the day

Heck no! DH and I had this conversation the other day! We could never work with each other. We like our separate work lives.

Only and this is a BIG only....if we were running a business together.
Otherwise, hell no. We both have a bad tendency to take our work home with us, and that's enough as it is.

We could never work together. We are opposites in terms of talents and perspectives.

Never. One of us would be dead and it wouldn't be me.
True! Mom, you could take Dad, I would place my bet on you to win.
I would never be able to work with DH.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! There is a reason he is self employed with no employees anymore.

Re: Could you stand your spouse if you had to...
It can be a challange. I work as a 911 medical dispatcher and i'm also a paramedic. We manage 10 counties and the county the dispatch center is in is the same place my husband is a road supervisor. He work my rotation so we'll go outside on a quick break to smoke and he'll say...babe I really want a 7 and 9 car can you please work it out for me? I always talk to my supervisor( paramedic sups and medcom sups are not the same so dh is not my boss at all nor is he in my chain of command) one day it was so bad and he was so p*ssed I stood up, looked at him and said you "you are NOT my boss. I will listen but I DO NOT have to do anything more then that. you do your job and i'll do mine. Saginaw is NOT the only county MMR has to manage now get out. Unless you're gonna answer a 911 or dispatch GET OUT!!!!" He hasn't been back since! It can be hard but we try very hard to leave work at work. Somedays it works and somedays it dosen't. You just take it one day at a time and try to remember work is work and at home we are a TEAM and we each have equal input into our lives where as at work it dosen't always work like that. Hope that helps
