BTDT moms: how long after "nesting" did you go into labor?
ladies, i have officially gone off the deep end... i am almost embarrassed to write this. but for my whole third tri (i am 39 weeks tomorrow) i have been crazy exhausted until last night. i woke up in the middle of the night and felt this HUGE burst of energy.
from 3:30-6:30 i scoured every single last surface of my kitchen. i couldn't stop. i WASHED the bottle of dish detergent. then i moved on to my dining room and family room. i felt SO crazy. i finally convinced myself to get some sleep, so i slept for two hours. now i'm up and the craziness is still here!!!
is this "nesting" - and if so, i am going to be exhausted by the time labor gets here? i don't know what to do with all this energy?

I had been moving all weekend and getting stuff unpacked, put away, etc. The crib was the last thing to do and when it was done, literally 30 seconds later I sat down and my water broke. I was a month early though. Just keep on cleaning and organizing!

I had been cleaning for about 2 weeks. But the night before my water broke, I was a mad women, I was scrubbing the tub over and over again (even though it had just been cleaned the day before!) then cleaned the kitchen really good. Went to bed about 11pm and at 6:05am my water broke.

That didn't happen to me, but my friend did a very similar thing as you the DAY she went into labor! Good luck!

The day before my water broke, I took apart my grill and cleaned it, trimmed the bushes, swept the patio and porch, weeded, and some other yardwork. My DH couldn't believe the amount of work I did and told me that I should be nesting inside, not outside. But I told him I couldn't bring a baby home to a dirty yard with a dirty grill. The next night, my water broke!

I had this incredible urge to scrub the grout on the entire the kitchen and dining room -- DS was born a week later.
