LA Weight Loss
Just wondering if anyone has done this program and has information on it? I am so sick and tired of losing and re-gaining the same 40 pounds over and over on WW and trying to do it myself. i think i need a more individualized program that will help keep me motivated and help me maintain. thoughts comments... i would like to lose 50 pounds my ultimate goal.
ETA: thanks all.... I didn't realize it was soo expensive....not sure if I can swing that... BUT....
anyone have a positive experiences in terms of weight loss and maintenance?

Re: LA Weight Loss
okay i did LA weight loss for approx. 2weeks. i wanted to lose for my wedding. i have to say i was never miserable until i started thated diet......its horrible......boring.........and extremely limited. I mean its broken down like this....based on your weight n goal of course......your allowed a certain portion in each of the food groups. my plan i was allowed 2 proteins(fish, chicke, turkey...Lean), 1 dairy ......creamer could be considered your dairy for the day!!!!! no sugar!,one fat(butter, etc) any vegetables(3 servings) and one starch. i was so deprived..........so then i went on south beach lost my weight, felt good, no measuring, involved, thousands of recipes.....no counting points.....i looked n felt great. mood was level at all times. try south beach!

Re: LA Weight Loss
I had an absolutely horrible experience with them a few years ago too! They act like it is much cheaper than WW but what they don't tell you is that each week you have to buy something else. Also I was horribly degrated at weigh ins. I rememberwhen I weighed in right after my birthday and I had gained...they wanted to know the exact reason I gained and I said it was my birthday...I remember two woman who worked there talking back and forth at me making feel like crap! The next day I went back and demanded my money back which was over $1,000!

Re: LA Weight Loss
I joined years ago- realized how much money I had just spent and canceled the next day
My friend joined last spring- she has lost about 25 lbs. most of it in the first few months- but she doesn't really follow it much anymore.
They make you buy their bars and talk you into buying them in bulk each month- so she hasn't been going because she doesn't have the money to buy the bars.
Their philosphy is basically to follow the reccommendations on the food pyramid.
They start you out on a liquid diet (same as the 3-day hollywood diet juice you can buy in the drugstore), which makes you drop a few pounds right away- which in turn makes people think its fabulous.
I would reccommend the South Beach Diet or maybe spend the money to see a nutritionist a few times and find out the healthy way to eat for your body.
Good Luck!
