We have our set sides and we NEVER switch. I've asked to switch just to mix things up, but DH refuses. He has to have the side closest to the door. So, it's not the left or right that he cares about, it's the door thing. He says it's so that he can fight off an intruder and protect me if someone broke in.  The funny thing is, I think he's serious...

DH doesn't care as much.... I'm fanatacal about it. It turns out the we "roll " certain directions so when we fo "crazy" and switch we don't have a good night sleep and I'm sure it screws up the dog since he also has "his" place

We have our set sides - I am on the left. But when I was pregnant I wanted to be on the right side so he let me. Once I had DS I went back to the left side of the bed.

We've slept on set sides for years. Even when we go away, it has to be the same. Otherwise, we can't sleep. However, DH has offered to switch when I get too cold from the AC in the summer.

Set sides- though I take up most of the bed- and it's a king, because I lay sideways after i fall asleep! When we moved the room layout was different and it through us off

we have our set sides, but every once in a while (or if DH is away) i sleep on his side- he doesn't care.
Same here. It's more habit than anything that we go to the same sides nght over night. But if he is out late I like to curl up on his side until he comes home.

Yes!!! We never deviate from our assigned sides - when we go away - hell, even when we go camping!!! Must have been some evolutionary thing from caveman days!!!

Same for us, except I'm the big baby that insists on sleeping furthest from the door because I'm afraid of an intruder!

We had set sides, then I got PG and we had to switch. In hotels I sleep on whichever side is nearest to the bathroom.

we are the same. He is closest to door, he will fight them while I go grab the baby (more my plan then his)

We change sides fairly often. Our bed is accessible on one side only and the person who gets up first sleeps on the open side.

We have set sides. When we first moved in together we both wanted the right side and fought over it. I gave in and let him have it, now sometimes he tries to sleep on my side and I kick him out. I'm used to my side now and can't just switch sides when he's in the mood.

We generally sleep on the same sides each night, but we're flexible. We don't keep our "sides" when traveling. Also, when we moved, our "regular" sides switched b/c DH wanted to sleep on the side cloest to his dresser. Weekdays he sleeps on the side closest the alarm clock b/c he gets up first. (He generally sleeps on that sides most nights, but if I wanted to switch, he'd be fine with it. We're not possessive!)
