4th Grade ELA scoring question...
What is the least amount of points you can get on P 1 of ELA to pass? I guess you would have to assume they got all points on P 2 and 3??? Just wondering. They took a practice today and the scores so far are not so hot

Re: 4th Grade ELA scoring question...
Ths scoring guide should be on the NYS Education website.............Let me know if it's not there and I'll try and locate my scoring guide from two years ago when I scored.

Re: 4th Grade ELA scoring question...
If they get 22 points they can get a 2.....so if they got no points on day 2 or 3 as long as they got 22 they will pass

Re: 4th Grade ELA scoring question...
60% of the score comes from part 1. So like the previous post said, it is possible to get no points and still pass the tet because of lucky guessing on part 1. That's why every year some of my lowest students pass the stupid test and get pushed through the system

Re: 4th Grade ELA scoring question...
I like to think of 22 as the lowest I want for Part 1. It is over 60% of the test. It is the biggest amount of points (28). If they ace Part 1, they are well on their way to a 3 (in years past 28 points will get you a 3.)
