Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
okay, my friend suggested I have Granny underwear for after the baby is born in the hospital and I guess for a little while after.
I don't have granny underwear, so I will be buying some.
Can anyone recommend some that are comfy?

You can get full cut undies from Victoria's Secret Boday by Victoria collection. Very comfortable, full cut and They are VS so they might feel a little less like "granny" panties!
Ps: you can always catch a good sale, especially with online offers

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
I plan to just buy some nursing tanks/sports bras and panties in one online order from Target. I figure if I need to toss 'em, I don't want to waste too much $$ on them.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
you really just need high cut underwear because you'll be wearing big maxi-pads to absorb the bleeding.
i bought a pack of maternity from mimi's, but any high cut underwear will do

I just went to Kmart and bought the cheapest I could find. Makes no sense to buy anything good, since you will probably throw them out after anyway.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
I got mine from target and one month later I am still wearing them. I have a c-section so they don't rub against my incision.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
After my c/s I had to wear granny panties too. My mom bought me the Hanes Her Way ones. They are soo comfy and they don't come up to your armpits.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
do i have to get briefs? I got bikini because all I have are thongs and when I used to wear pads (even the big nightime ones) I wore bikini and it worked fine. Will I need even bigger ones for right after giving birth? Should I return the ones I got or will I use them once I am on to regular pads? Wow, that is a lot of questions about underwer...

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
Don't laugh, but men's undies are the best. High cut. THick fabric, and the waistband isn't constricting -- unlike a woman's underwear. Have fun!

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
I just got cheap Hanes Her Way briefs, if they get ruined you won't care. I had a c-section so they went above my incision and way more comfy than my regular panties.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
honestly, I used whatever I had and it was fine, but I did not get very big with either PG. I was using my bikinis, but I did buy in a larger size further into the PG.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
I got a 3 pack of disposable underwear for when I was in the hospital b/c your undies kinda get trashed...it was actually comfortable too.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
I actually recommend getting some maternity ones. Your stomach might still need the extra room for the first few days. Also I had a c-section and the hospital gave me these mesh disposable ones b/c they did not interfere with my incision.
I did wear the maternity granny panties for 6 w PP while I was bleeding since you cannot use a tampon. I got the old navy ones. Comfy and very reasonably priced.

Bikinis may not work if you have to get a section.

Re: Personal ?, a little embarrassing too
I bought a 7 pack of Hanes her Way specifically for the hospital and after. I bled heavily after giving birth and already threw away 2 pairs. A month later I am still wearing them bc I am still bleeding and my incision got infected so I can't have anything near it. Best $7 I spent.
