Rho-Gam
Has anyone done any research on Rho Gam? I'm concerned about the preservatives in the shots. Most are made with out mercury these days but they still have Aluminum, Formaldehyde, and other bad stuff. I heard of one brand called Win-Rho SD that is feeze dried without preservatives but my doctor's sources do not have access to it. Any thoughts anyone?

I was also hesitant to get this shot, but the research shows that it is much more dangerous not to get it, especially in my case where I was bleeding through most of my PG. My blood, if it mixed with the baby's blood, would become toxic.
ETA: All I know of WinRho is that it is a Canadien drug, and may not have been evaluated yet by the FDA.

i had the rho-gam shot, I haven't heard of anything bad in it. but really , what choice did I have? I was bleeding also, I had to get this shot and didn't have time to do any research on it

The alternative is to not get it and to risk your health and the baby's health at birth. I had to get it four times with DD, but didn't really have a choice.

as someone who had 2 family members almost die because the moms didn't get the shot (father and second cousin---over 60 years ago--they didn't know any better), i will be getting the shot regardless of what's in it. my cousin has many problems due to it. i try not to pay too much attention to everything because then i would be scared of everything!

I got it. I think that the pros outweigh the cons on this one and I am very anti-immunizations.
