So i went to the Dr. tonight for a 6 month checkup
And they ended up doing a ekg on me a 2 minute one and than they decided to give me Blood Pressure medicine...Ummm I dont know if i'm comfortable about taking them... The brand they gave me was Benicar.I have to go back tomorrow for an echocardio gram.

I HATE going to the doctors--every time I go, I feel like I get a new prescription.
Blood presssure medicine is soooooooo common, don't be afraid!
I am srue your doc prescribed what he did, knowing what you are already on.
My doc called in a script for cholesterol meds for me, and that was last week, and I just picked it up...not looking forward to taking it either

I am srue your doc prescribed what he did, knowing what you are already on.
My doc called in a script for cholesterol meds for me, and that was last week, and I just picked it up...not looking forward to taking it either
I was reading the side affects and they really make me nervous.

RO, the benefits almost always outweigh the problems
Talk to your doctor about it. If you are not comfortable, speak up. YOU know your body & what you are comfy with!

If you are uncomfortable with taking them - I would sit down with the doctor and discuss why he prescribed them, what the alternatives to taking it are and if you are still uncomfortable you can always get a second opinion.
Is your blood pressure very high? or did he just give it to you based on the ekg?

well 2 months ago my blood pressure was 170/110,Fastforward to Yesterday it was 148/90.. It's dropping but my dramatically and now i'm starting to lose more weight.
