Melting Pot (Fondu) in Farmingdale Question
Has anyone ever eaten there? DH and I are going this week.
Wondering if anyone has any feedback. Things you loved? Things you didn't love?

Re: Melting Pot (Fondu) in Farmingdale Question
Go hungry- there is a lot of food!
If you sign up for the club online they send you a coupon for a free chocolate. Then you can get dinner for two instead of the big night out. Saves some money.
I LOVE the cheddar cheese fondue. As for the cooking style we usually go with Coq au Vin, but the Mojo is good as well. Can't go wrong with any chocolate!
Have fun! Bring a good amount of money, it isnt cheap!

Re: Melting Pot (Fondu) in Farmingdale Question
i haven't been to that one, but we go to one in NJ every year for my birthday. LOVE it!! its expensive, but i would get the "Big Night Out". that includes a cheese fondue appetizer ( the wisconsin chedder is really good!) that comes with bread and some veggies for dipping. then your choice of a salad... THEN you can choose your main course entree fondue. you can choose from a couple different cooking styles/broths ( we usually go with coq au vin). and it comes with all kinds of beef, chicken, shimrp and veggies to dip, as well as some neat sauces to dip them in, too. THEN, for dessert, it includes your choice of chocolate fondue ( the turtle is good, or the smores) with fruit, pound cake, and marshmellows to dip). its a TON of food, so go hungry

Re: Melting Pot (Fondu) in Farmingdale Question
DH and I went and we were disappointed with the dinner. Yes its a nice fondue experience, but the quality just wasnt there for me so I dont feel the need to go back. Dessert however is awesome because I love chocolate and the cake was great that it came with, plus it also had fruit and rice krispie treats and I was in heaven. So I would suggest just go for dessert.

We went and thought it was pretty good. I like the whole experience....just different. I agree though...dessert was to DIE FOR! That in itself was worth the $$.

Re: Melting Pot (Fondu) in Farmingdale Question
DH and I went the other night. We got the Big Night out and it was amazing. We got the Fiesta cheese fondue, salad, vegetable broth for the main course and smores for the dessert course. It was delicious!!!

Re: Melting Pot (Fondu) in Farmingdale Question
I like the cheese and chocolate fondue but the food was definetly not worth it. Next time I go it will just be for cheese and chocolate which is fine with me
