Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Although I still have waves of nausea, I feel so much better than I have the last 2 weeks. I'm so exhausted. One week, I feel fine and the next, I feel like I got run over by a truck. My exhaustion seems to alternate each week. I've also been really hungry recently. I still have food aversions, but I can tolerate a few more things.

The rash on my face is still yucky. My doctor said I could take OTC cortisone cream. It has provided some relief, but I'm still itchy. I tried to make a dermaologist appointment this morning. I called about 8 different practices and no one had an opening until July. Chat Icon Luckily, I called one office again this afternoon and there was a cancellation for tomorrow.

I have a "paperwork" appointment next week. I have no idea what that entails. How is everyone else doing?

How do you feel?

Nauseated. And more tired than I've been in my entire life. I said to DH, if I didn't know I was pregnant, I would SWEAR that I have mono. I'm getting 7 hours of sleep a night, and a 2-hour nap in the afternoon, and even that's not cutting it.

Do you notice a difference?

I'm big to begin with, but I've actually lost some weight. I have no appetite, so I'm doing very little "extra-curricular" eating. The only difference I can notice so far is that my lower tummy feels much "firmer" and rounder (I already have a stomach, so I'm guessing it'll be awhile before I REALLY see a difference).

what are you eating?

Whatever doesn't turn my stomach. I eat lots of little stuff throughout the day--granola bars, a banana, yogurt, string cheese. I have a bowl of cereal when I come home from work. I drink lots of milk. Dinner is always tricky, though.

I think it's been rough for me recently, because I'm a 5th grade teacher, and my kids are getting ready to take their equivalent of the Regents exam here in NC. They have to take FOUR of these standardized tests this year. I am SOOOOO done!!!!!

I feel exactly like you except the teacher partChat Icon Nauseated and have a sick sense of smell. We just moved into a new place and its in the downtown area. Apparently there are a lot of stray cats around here and one of them has chosen to mark up our very small yard. I swear I can smell it from inside the house. My husband thinks I'm crazy but I can smell it! I swear! Nothing better for a nauseous pregnant lady than Tomcat peeChat Icon Chat Icon

My bbs are very sore specially at night and i wake up every 2 hrs. Seriously the other night I woke up at 3:11, 5:11 and 7:11.

I eat: everything. I bought limeade bars which are helping my nausea. Funny how you could be nauseous but then polish off a plate of foodChat Icon

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Had my first OBGYN visit yesterday, (after being released from my RE 2.5 weeks ago) and everything looks great!!! The little bean is healthy and strong....May 27th is my ultrascreen which I am getting a little nervous about....

Otherwise I feel great...this pregnancy has been a blessing....no ms, not feeling nauseated, just tired.....

Here are some pics of our little bean which looks like a baby!! even the doc was impressed how developed the baby is at 10.5 weeks.....I thought they were going to be 3D (my doctors uses 3D) but they said they do 3D later on in the pregnancy!

Baby waiving at us!

Hi Ladies,
I had my first obgyn appt with a whole new office...(had to get a new obgyn since my old one does not deliver anymore.)
Anyway, everything went great....I saw the heartbeat for the first time. It was one of the greatest things ever. Chat Icon
The doctor said everything looks good, which was fantastic to hear.

I have been feeling ill, I gag uncontrollably.....Does anyone else have this???
I can not take smells, I'm always tired. I honestly, feel like a mess. But, I keep playing in my head when I saw that heartbeat and that gets me through it.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

I got sick this morning for the first time since last Monday. Chat Icon I obviously spoke too soon about my nausea going away. Of course, getting sick made me break more capillaries in my face and my rash got so much darker and more noticeable. I look yucky. Chat Icon Hopefully, the cream my dermatologist prescribed today will make it go away.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

NinaLemon, it's good to hear the bleeding stopped!

Has everyone gone for a first sono yet?
I just had it yesterday and it's finally starting to sink in that I'll be a mom! :D

DH got so emotional he was getting teary-eyed. Hehe!

I've also registered with a nearby daycare today. My ones in my neighborhood fill up fast so registering was one way of making sure there'll be a spot by the time we need it next February.

Besides enduring the usual pregnancy symptoms, what have you gals done lately for the little nugget or nuggets for those expecting twins?

That's great news! My doctor left me a message on my answering machine last night. I almost had a heart attack b/c I thought something was wrong. She just called to say she reviewed the ultrasound, everything looked good, and she'll schedule my first trimester screening based on my new EDD.

My heartburn has been acting up a bit today, but it's still mangeable. I'm tired, but not as exhausted as I've been the past few days.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

I really love my Dr. i got my first Sono at 6.5 weeks and i have another Sono at 8.5 weeks (Tues 5/20) hopefully the peanut will be a lot bigger then he/she was at 6.5 weeks. After the first Sono how often do you go usually?? I plan on asking the Dr. that next week but i was just curious if anyone new.

And i had my first real wave of nausea last night. Right before bed and then it woke me up a lot during the night. No puking though!!!! I do not want anymore nights like that!!!

My last hcg was 89,797 (is that the beta?) She did say it was Progesterone that was 1430, maybe she meant 14.30 and I just took it as a whole number?

Oh man, Tuesday is going to be such an awesome day!!! I bet your DH is excited, it's just going to be incredible!

DH is convinced that they aren't going to do a sonogram, he has an 11 y/o son and keeps telling me they didn't do that for him. Um, LOTS of things have changed in the last decade Chat Icon I've been trying to bet him that they are going to do it but he won't take my bet Chat Icon

I doubt your DH will be disappointed. He'll probably start to get emotional once he hears the heartbeat and see the small peanut. :D

Mine was getting all teary-eyed after our first sono. Enjoy your experience!

i barely feel pregnant and my ultrasound went by so fast- i was basically nervous b.c we were looking to see a heartbeat to make sure everything was looking good - i had some spotting and bleeding and this was a follow up appt.

anyhow, i really need to change my dr. he jsut goes so fast! when he speaks and when he did the ultrasound.
he didnt even offer to print it up for me.
Chat Icon
I am going to go to one more appt. and then really start looking though my options.
i might want a midwife.Chat Icon
