Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

aww! you are not crazy! that is a good idea though! esp. if they are on sale, why not!?

i haven't bought anything. first, i want to wait to until the 20 wk mark so we can find out what we are having
also, i figure we will prob. get a ton of stuff from the shower and throughout the pregnancy.
i know you can never have too many onesies but, storage is an issue at our place so i dont want to go overboard.

Hey ladies!

I was just wondering if any of you girls have bought anything for the baby yet. I just couldn't resist this sale at the gap and got a bunch of onesies, but am I crazy??

Erin

I bought some stuff already! Very early on I bought the first onesie. As you can tell from my screen name, I've called myself mama bear, and my bf has been papa bear. We saw a baby bear onesie at an outdoor market one day (I was probably around 7 or 8 weeks) and we had to get it. In fact, we got one in pink and one in blue because we obviously didn't know boy or girl yet. Since then we've bought a few things here and there, and we've gotten a few presents too. After my 16 week scan (next Friday!) I plan on registering and buying a bunch more. I'm so excited!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

As of right now, I don't plan on buying anything until the baby is born. At the very least, if I buy something, I won't bring it into our home until after giving birth. It's a religious/superstitious issue.

1- How many sonos have you gone for so far?

I'm 12 weeks as of yesterday, I have had 4 sonos(I am an IVF patient

2- How many times have you seen your Dr.?
RE 2 times, OB 3 times.

3- Have you gone for the 1st trimester screening?

We chose not to do this just a sono at 11 weeks

4- How are everybody's symptoms? I have been having headaches pretty much daily and I get fatigued and feel like crap if I get overheated. Still peeing all night loing which was my first pregnancy sympotom. Besides for that all is well.

I have not bought anything, but I did start a registry since my friend was visiting me who had twins. It is pretty bare bones but I got some bigger stuff. I have also been researching strollers

Looooong before we got PG or were even married, I bought the supplies to make a whole cloth baby quilt - I didn't start working on it until AFTER we got a positive HPT though Chat Icon

My mom has already bought a ton of fabric to make recieving blankets and quilts.

Hi Ladies,

I haven't been on this thread in some time. I was very ill that I really did not go online at all.
Anyway, for the last few days I felt much better....I'm hoping ms has went away for good. I'm 14 weeks!!

I just wanted to see how you are all doing?

I am feeling a little worried that I don't have that many sonos like some others.

Do you think this is bad?

My 1st is at 4 weeks to determine if there's anything there.

My 2nd is at 8 weeks to check heartbeat

My 3rd is at 12 weeks for the nuchal ultrasound

My 4th will be at the 20th week.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Thank you for bumping this up. I'm Stacy. I'm a little over 12 wks and so happy I found this website/chat.

I have a DS who's 3 1/2 so one would think I wouldn't have so many questions being through it already. However, DS was born 6 weeks early (I had preclampsia) and this new one took awhile for us to conceive so I'm more cautious these day.

There's also new tests that I didn't have to worry about last time (such as the ultrascreen/amnio...etc).

How is everyone else holding up these days?

I guess I should join this thread also.

I am 14 weeks and wish my appetite would come back. It has been torture not having the desire to eat a thing (esp when you have to take vitamins). Otherwise, feeling ok.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

My nausea came back again. Chat Icon I've also been exhausted the past few days. I have a lot of trouble sleeping, which probably contributes to the exhaustion. I have heartburn every day, but it has really been unbearable recently. Zantac 75 has helped a bit.

I had my NT scan on Tuesday. Chat Icon was being very cooperative except when the tech was trying to take a picture for us to take home. That's when Chat Icon decided to flip. Chat Icon We got some great pictures though and the results of the test were great.

I'm going shopping for maternity clothes for the first time today. Chat Icon Hopefully I'll be able to find stuff, especially suits.

Hope everyone is doing well. Chat Icon

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

I am 15 weeks 2 days. Went to the Dr. yesterday, but she didnt do a sono. I was kinda disappointed because DH and I were hoping she could tell us the sex of the baby. I go back in 4 or 5 weeks for the Anatomy sono. Very excited for this!

Feel good otherwise. A few headaches here and there, but no complaints!

Has anyone felt any flutters/movement or anything? I think I felt the baby move for a second yesterday.

Hi Ladies,

Today I bought some maternity clothing. It was fun!!!

I bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans and have been wearing my babydoll tops with them. I've just been browsing the maternity tops for now.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

I've bought some maternity clothes too. DH was nice enough to go shopping with me yesterday and we got a couple of the petite secret fit pants at Mimi Maternity. They are surprising cheap - $25 per pair. And these are pants you can wear to work too!

The Gap also has some great stuff for the professional look.
