Well, the middle name starts with an R for my cousin Richard who died - Cailen's middle name is Reed - but we just liked the name Cailen after we saw it in a baby name book...

Nikolas because I always loved the name (DH chose the spelling because it flows nicely with our Greek last name, but I also love that the "K" makes a very common boys name a little bit 'different' that way..)

Middle name Anthony was for DH's grandfather (also DH's name)

Patrick was my FIL's name & his middle name is my maiden name

Fiona I have loved since I was a little girl & Mary was my mother's name. (I had that name picked for about 20 years)

Saoirse is a name we loved & Eileen was my MIL's name.

We both loved our dd's first name from the time that one of us suggested it, so it was set. Her middle name is after my grandma.

John is named after his Father and my FIL and his middle name, George is my Father.

I heard the name Caden on a TV show and I fell in love with it. When we found out we were having a girl we decided to change the spelling to Kaydyn. Her middle name my DH came up with.

All 3 of my kids names were picked purely bc I liked them. Honestly, DH and I picked the first one together but I picked #2 and #3 and he was fine with them. Their middle names have meaning though - DS #1's is both our father's name, DD's is an Irish name that my DH loves and DS #2's is my DH's first name.

Not after anyone at all. I like different and uncommon names. DD #3 is not so uncomon though.

DD's first and middle initials come from my grandmother and grandfather's first names.

We picked his first name Rylan because we liked it and chose Joseph as his middle name because that's my boyfriends middle name. I wanted the middle name to have some meaning.

I have a huge crush on Johnny Depp and his daughter's name is Lily Rose Melody. When I was nearing the end of my pregnancy, I started to think that I liked the sound of Lily....
When I was in labor in the hospital, I realized that Lily is similar to my first name, Lori, and that if I coupled it with my middle name, Anne, it would be pretty. So I came up with Lily Anne in the labor and delivery room...and when she arrived, it suited her.

So she was sort of named after Johnny Depp's daughter. But more she's named after me!

We named her Deborah after a certain member on this board, she was our inspiration in our infertility battle. Rose is Don's grandmother name.

Meaghan because I wanted a really Irish name. Marie is both our mom's middle names.

James Charles is named after my father and FIL.

I have always loved the name Claire (it is my confirmation name) and Jillian just because we like it!

If the twins were 2 boys, the other boy would have been Patrick (love it) Louise (after DH's uncle who was murdered)

If it were two girls, we would have been SOL because DH & I couldn't agree on a name.....

I do love Alison Bridget and Cecilia Rose.....maybe one day!

DH pulled the dead parent card... I wasn't crazy about the name Elizabeth, but how could I say no??

I think this part of DS' name says it all: "III"

DS is Christopher Michael, III. I didn't have a choice in his name at all.

Had I had a choice, I would have liked Joseph to be in his name somewhere, it was my grandfather's name

We chose Matteo because we couldn't agree on a boys name (except Ethan) and then started looking at Spanish names (my DH is half mexican)...so we agree on Matteo. His middle name is Steven after DH brother who died young. We agreed that Ethan Steven would probably get him made fun of in school.

We picked his first name because we like Brady. His middle name William is a family name.

Nicholas was named after a shelf in the Lillian Vernon catalog He was Kyle until I was around 8 months along and then we saw that name in the catalog and we decided we wanted him to be a Nicholas! We still put the Kyle xmas ornament that we had made while I was pregnant on the tree each year

Emma, I just liked the name. She has my middle name (Lynn).

We just liked the name....well it was the first name we both agreed upon.
DD is Jade Elizabeth. She was actually going to be Elizabeth Jade then we changed our minds.

All 3 of my boys 1st names were picked just because I like them however their middle names are after relatives.

We wanted Jacob to have the first letter of my mom's name (she passed away when I was 13) but it was very hard to find a name for a boy starting with an "F". We picked Jacob just because we liked it and used the "F" for his middle name.
