Demo Lesson question
Since my demo is being done in front of a hiring committee should I print out a lesson for each person? Also typically how many people are on a hiring committee? I didn't get any details from the person who set up the interview. Thx. Its an NYC school.

Re: Demo Lesson question
I would say to bring 10 copies of the lesson just to be safe. I would give each person a copy or at least hand the stack to one person to distribute at the beginning. I am not sure what school you are going into, but I know in my school it is important to them to see the plan. They make us write a daily agenda on the board. When they walk in suddenly they can read it and see what the day's plan is.

Re: Demo Lesson question
I agree with the previous poster. I have never had more than 6 people during a demo lesson, but I would rather be safe than sorry so I would bring 10 copies.
Good luck on your demo!!

I agree with both pp. Did you do your lesson?

Re: Demo Lesson question
I did my lesson, it was weird because I had to do it in front of the other candidates, plus the 6 or so people on the hiring committee and I had to go first! talk about nerve wrecking!!!
I think i did okay, well some lessons I think were better than mine and others were boring but I should hear this week whether or not I made it to round 2.
Is that always how that goes?

Re: Demo Lesson question
I am sure every school is different. For us, the candidates do demo lessons in the classroom after their second interview. I have never heard of it done just for a hiring committee, but again, every school is different.
