Nutritionist?

Has anyone used one? what exactly do they do? any recs (smithtown area) thanks

I have - in Huntington. When you first go, you are usually sent home with no advice other than to keep a meal journal for the week. You go back, they review what you have eaten and make their recommendations on a plan that would work. Mine also required I have my blood work done so he could see my cholesterol, etc. This way he knows if there is anything you shouldn't be eating.

I lost 15lbs with him and kept it off. I still follow all his advice. He made me realize that the things I thought were right as far as losing weight goes, really weren't what works best.

I can give you his name and number if you are interested. I know he takes Oxford insurance and you only pay the copay.
