any HR people out there with suggestions,,,marketing jobs?

I have been seeking a job for months now, I am in communications/marketing and am fairly high level so my salray and postion I have held are beyond a middle manager. I have had no success thus far and am so frustrated about it. There are tons of jobs in the city but that is not an option for me. My concern is that there jsut are not alot of jobs on the Island which causes me more frustration because I fear I may need to move and really cannot afford to live in Nassau, the housing costs are so much higher and you seem to get a lot less for youer money (I live in Sufolk) I am wondering is it just people are not hiring or ar the jobs just dried up in the field, My last company went out of busines but I had been there ofr several years......sooooooo frustrating!! I apply through job boards and try using my contacts but there really is just not much there.....I am even willing to take a smaller salary within reason and still can't find something
