A must have for delivery...new mom advice
I promised when I got a free moment of time I would share with you girls what I found to be the best thing to pack in your hospital bag.
I made 2 CD's with songs I really liked...from coldplay to dave mathews to tori amos to name a few. Let me tell you...the hours before labor and through my entire delivery those CD's were going, and I was focusing on those songs and it truly helped me out so much.
I was concentrating on the words and just really listening. And now I have those CD's in my car, and I can remember certain parts of that experience I wouldnt want to forget (believe it or not  )...and I have them forever.
I just wanted to share. Best of luck to you all!

great tip! I brought a cd to play during my c-section as well - it really helped me to relax!

I was not in labor that long at the hospital (only a couple of hours), but some must-haves for me were my Burt's Bee's chap stick, Altoids and then some comfy yoga pants/tank top/sports bra and yummy smelling shampoo/conditioner/body wash/body spray for after the delivery.
It felt great to get up and take a shower and feel somewhat like myself again in the morning!
Honestly I don't think I really used too much else that I packed!!

I think that's a great tip. I had Kanye West's "Stronger" running in a continuous loop - an I do mean constant - in my head and I muttered the words plenty of times during labor... but just the chorus... "That that don't kill me, can only make me stronger... I need you to hurry up now... cause I can't wait much longer." Very fitting for labor, no? 
Now when I hear the song I just have to laugh and remember those blessed 5 hours!!!

We are loading up the iPods and bringing our travel speakers with us... I have a ton of music, but I gotta make some playlists. Another thing I am procrastinating!

 This made me laugh as I had BBC News 24 on when my son was born...and all I watched on TV while in hospital was Celebrity Big Brother...what a larf!

I had loaded a bunch of Bob Marley on my Ipod when I had DD. The nurses would keep laughing when they came in to check on me, saying they felt like they were walking in to a Jamaican resort. To this day, DD loves listening to Bob Marley, it always calms her down.

Great tip! Did you go all natural, or did you have an epi?

These are good too! I'm sure at some point I'll put together a hospital bag checklist! I'll have to add all of these!
