Feeding schedule for 5 month old
HI,
My DS will be 5 months next week. Currently his feeding schedule is:
7:15am 6oz bottle (i have to wake him before i leave for work)
10am 6oz bottle & 2 1/2 tablespoon oatmeal
1pm - 6oz bottle
4pm - 6oz bottle & 2 1/2 tablespoon oatmeal
7pm - 6oz bottle (he has only been taking about 5oz)
9:30pm 6 oz bottle (i put 1 tablespoon rice cereal in bottle, again he has only about 5oz)
This past weekend he slept til 8:30 so he only had 5 bottles instead of the 6 he has during the week.
In 2 wks i will be introducing fruits/veggies.
Please tell me what your feeding schedule is for 5 month old.

DD did not have cereal in her bottle but I fed her like this:
7am bottle - 6oz
10am cereal (oatmeal)
11am bottle 6oz
1pm- lunch (veggies only at first)
2- 2:30 bottle 6oz
5:30 -6 a fruit (I use it as a dessert)
then bottles
lately she drinks less ozs but she eats more foods and fruit now

I notice the bottle isn't the same time as cereal - do you wait a 1/2 or is the bottle right after the cereal.

8:30am - 4tbsp. oatmeal mixed w/ 1/2 jar fruit
11:30am - 6oz bottle
2:30pm - 6oz. bottle & 1/2 jar fruit
5:30pm - 4tbsp. oatmeal
8:30pm - 6oz bottle

My DD is BF and bottle fed so I don't know exactly how many oz she is taking. But she eats 5-6 times a day and with her bottles she only has two with 4-5 oz. It seems like your baby is taken a lot of oz. I don't think with the food that your DC needs that many oz, but I may be wrong. Check with your ped

Thanks for all responses.
I did talk to my ped about bottles and when i will be eliminating some and she said DS will let me know. At times he doesnt even finish the 6oz. When i start giving him fruit next week and then veggies hopefully we will be eliminating a bottle

we've only gotten through some fruits and all the cereals so far but we will be doing veggies next soooooo this is the feeding schedule as of now
6am 8oz bottle
830ish/9am-ish cereal w/ fruit
10am-ish 8oz bottle
1230ish/1ish pm cereal w/ a fruit
2pm-ish 8oz bottle
530pm-ish cereal w/ fruit
630pm 8oz bottle
