question abour swings/rockers/bouncers
i wasnt going to register for a bouncy/vibrating seat. i see there are combo swings that rock, and others that bounce. any suggestions as to what the best one to get is? i live in a small condo and space is limited.
i was only going to get a travel swing but now see the combos and aren't sure what to do.

Re: question abour swings/rockers/bouncers
i live in a 1 bedroom apt and have both a swing and a bouncy seat. i dont know what i would have done w/o my bouncy seat. my ds didnt like the swing unitl about 4 months . i used the bouncy seat all the time. whenever i needed to take a shower i would just bring him in the bathroom in his seat. i still do that now and he is 7 months.

We live in a condo also. We had a swing and bouncy seat. DD liked both. I used the bouncer in my bathroom when I'd shower and in my room when I'd get dressed. I kept the swing in the living room. We stopped using the swing when DD was about 5/6 months. I stretched the bouncy seat until 8 months because it was great for when I had to shower - but she was very big in it!

WE have a swing and a bouncer too...DS isn't too into the bouncer but I use it for when I shower and I put him right outside the bathroom and leave the door open. He reallylikes the swing and most of the time sleeps in it so I think it's worth having both.

DD loves her swing and vibrating seat.
If you are short on space, I would get the Sweetpeace.
The seat removes so you can take it with you and use it in other rooms, like the bathroom so you can take a shower and you wouldn't need a another seat. Another plus is that if you have the graco infant carrier, it fits in the swing also, so you can move a sleeping baby out of the car and into the swing.

Re: question abour swings/rockers/bouncers
We have both as well, and DS loves his bouncy! I can get him to take 2 hour naps in there. He likes the swing, but that is for shorter stents - like 30-45 mins while we eat dinner or something.
We just got the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker to keep at my mom's as she will be our day care for a while. I LOVE this thing, and we tested DS in it and he loved it too. For $50, it is well worth it, as the weight limit gets them well into the Toddler age. It is just a bouncy, but it relines at different levels, so we can eventually feed him in there as well. The toy bar pivots, so you can easily move it out of the way when getting them in and out of it.

I love my swing!! I don't know what I would do without it. I have a fisher Price Papasan swing. I like that it swings two different ways. DS really likes the side to side motion. DS takes most of his naps in the swing. I have the FP Newborn to toddler rocker. I really like it!! It comes in handy when you want to put him down to eat dinner or do house work.

Re: question abour swings/rockers/bouncers
We used the bouncer A LOT more than the swing. It is much more portable (to use while you shower, to take outside or to another's home). We had a travel swing and she hated it. I ended up donating it. She tolerates the combo swing/rocker. She briefly used a papasan swing (to sleep in).

I would not have been able to survive without the bouncer!!! She was in that thing until she was 8 months old. Her swing we put away at 5 months because she hated it. Get a bouncer.
