Stage 3 cancer?

can someone tell me how serious stage 3 cancer is? I'm not sure of the stages. My dh's aunt was just diagnosed with colon cancer. thanks

Stage 1 is least serious.
Stage 4 is most serious.

Colon cancer stage 3 is usually followed by a letter too...which lets you know how or rather where it has spread too..how many lymph nodes are involved etc...

Stage 3A is the less serious than Stage 3C...

Survival rates for Stage 3 colon cancer can vary depending upon the location of the tumor and what type of stage 3...

What was her health like before the diagnosis might play a big role in survival too...

It is a serious cancer...but not an unbeatable one...

Stage 3 isn't the greatest and like the previous person said a letter usually following it. With that said my grandmother had Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer and survived. I know it isn't the same cancer but I always tell her story. You never know what could happen. Never give up. I will keep DH aunt in my prayers.
