Re: If you work full time

I do cook every night during the week. Once in a while there will be one night we order in. The weekends are off and on.
DH is spoiled....I always make a new meal each night, always complete with a starch and vegetable sides! Chat Icon

Re: If you work full time

I cook M-Th for sure, Fri we eat out. Sat/Sun is up in the air. Sometime we go to either my parents or inlaws and eat there. Most of the time we eat out again on Sat and reheat whatevers in the fridge sun.

We always eat breakfast out on Sat.

Re: If you work full time

We both work F/T but have different schedules and don't want to eat a heavy meal late at night so no I don't cook during the week. Instead I make a big salad for each of us Monday-Thursday and on Fridays I'll heat up a pizza.

I do cook on the weekends and Saturdays are always different depending on what we're in the mood for or haven't had in a while. Sundays we reserve for making a sauce, it's pasta night!! I also make extra meatballs so we can eat the leftovers during the week in case the salad isn't enough.

We rarely eat out anymore, only as a special treat. Chat Icon

Re: If you work full time

I try some nights to make extras to freeze leftovers. Sometimes it's just DD and I fending for ourselves before DH has to wake for work and defrosting is easiest then.

I also love to use my slowcooker for ready to eat meals once we get home

Re: If you work full time

I usually cook 5-6 nights. Once in a blue moon we will go out to dinner during the week if we are running around and it's late or pick up pizza. Saturday nights I don't cook. We go out with friends or order in.

Re: If you work full time

On average, I cook 7 out of every 10 work days. Of the three that I don't cook, two DH & I have dinner w/ MIL, and the other we order out. Sometimes we get leftovers from dinner w/ MIL and then there will be an extra day I don't cook from Mon-Friday.

Re: If you work full time

I cook just about 6 nights a week and I work full-time. I like to eat out at least once a week and that's usually what happens.

Re: If you work full time

Depends on the week. If I am feeling ambitious on Sunday I will cook meals for the week. Usually one day order out and one day left overs.

Re: If you work full time

not every single night but maybe 3 times....there are some nights I either get home too late or just too much to do or too tired, i stopped putting pressure on myself to have to do it all the time....and then those are pizza nights./

Re: If you work full time

I used to....but with this new job, I'm out of the house by 7:30am, and I haven't been getting home until about 8PM every night, some nights 9:30! it's a longggg day, I have no energy left for cooking when I get home!! the best I can do is make a meal for an army on Sunday night and then we'll have leftovers for 2 or 3 nights (which DH is soooo not a fan of! lol)
